Crafters is a Division of Frizzell Construction Co., Inc. with its main
office in the Atlanta metro area. Links Crafters is associated with a sod farm in
Tifton, GA, enabling it to receive up to 100% of the supply of this sod,
as needed – helping to assure quality and schedule.

The parent company or its
divisions, has done renovation or new course construction on over 130 golf
projects (approximately 11 per year.) The first golf course construction
project was the City Club in Marietta, GA in 1990.

Links Crafters provides a full range of golf construction services from renovation, restoration, and consulting to new golf course projects. Along with golf course construction services, as a division of Frizzell Construction, we offer full general contracting construction divisions to provide a total development package – including clubhouses and maintenance buildings.

The People
That Run the Show |
|
Milton Abell, the same
person who managed the construction of our first project in Marietta,
heads Links Crafters. Milton
is a graduate of the University of Georgia with an Agronomy degree. He is
a PGA professional who has played in the Georgia State Open and the Georgia
PGA Championship. For 8 years Milton did double duty at the University as
manager of UGA’s Golf Course and as the Golf Coach.
He has served on the board of directors for the Georgia PGA, the
Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Association, and the Georgia Turf
Grass Association. He founded Classic Golf Management, and he has been
involved in the construction, development, and management of numerous
courses.

Ben Frizzell, Jr. is the C.E.O. of the parent corporation (www.fcci.com). His father, in 1929 - designed, constructed, owned, and operated Blue Ridge Golf Course near Bristol, Tennessee. Frizzell, Jr., born in 1935, grew up at Blue Ridge and helped maintain and run the course until it closed in 1954. Frizzell, Jr. has won several tournaments, held two course records, and played in the Japan Open, the Japan Public Links Championship, the Philippine American Championship, the Air Force World-Wide, and the Southern Amateur.
